UncoveringYou is dedicated to empowering vulnerable demographics, specifically youths, women, and children, through capacity-building initiatives in Training, Education, Skill Acquisition, and Financial Aid (TESAF).

This seeks to bridge the skills gap in our society, foster entrepreneurship, and promote sustainable livelihoods, targeting underprivileged communities where access to education and vocational training is limited. Our aim is to equip these groups with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty, boost economic self-sufficiency, and become active contributors to their famílies/communities.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

Women Empowerment Initiative

The “DevHer Empowerment Program” empowers women, especially in underserved areas, by enhancing their business management skills, financial literacy, and leadership capabilities, enabling them to better support their families and communities.

  • Business Management Workshops: These workshops will focus on teaching women how to manage their businesses, improve financial literacy, and build leadership skills, boosting their confidence both personally and professionally.
  • Financial Support: Women will be given access to financial support to start or scale their businesses, as well as connections to microfinance institutions for further funding opportunities.
  • Networking Opportunities: Women will also have the chance to network with local businesses, fostering collaboration, idea sharing, and support.

YOUTH TRAINING PROGRAMS

Youth Empowerment Workshop

This initiative is designed to empower youths in underserved communities and NYSC corps members, many of whom face uncertainty about their future paths. Our goal is to equip them with the clarity, skills, and confidence needed to pursue fulfilling careers and meaningful lives.

This training is structured into two key components:

  • Discovery Training Program (DTP)
  • Advanced Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP), which is further divided into:
  • Financial Literacy and Management
  • Digital Entrepreneurship
  • Technical and Vocational Training

Discovery Training Program (DTP)

A basic transformative workshop focused on self-discovery, passion identification, and career development. Participants gain insights into their strengths, receive career clarity, and engage in career therapy and navigation sessions, setting a solid foundation for personal and professional growth.

Advanced Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP)

The Advanced Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP) builds on the foundation of the Discovery Training Program (DTP)and serves as a critical next step in empowering young people. After gaining clarity on their strengths, passions, and career aspirations, ASAP equips participants with the technical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and financial literacy required to excel in their chosen paths.

Key Components of the Program

1. Financial Literacy and Management

A cornerstone of ASAP, this module ensures that participants not only develop practical skills but also understand how to manage and grow their financial resources.

2. Digital Entrepreneurship

In today’s digital-first world, leveraging technology is critical for success. By fostering a deep understanding of digital tools, this component empowers participants to create innovative, technology-driven careers and businesses.

3. Technical and Vocational Training

Participants can acquire practical skills in high-demand sectors, including:

  • Fashion
  • Real Estate
  • Technology
  • Carpentry
  • Agriculture

ASAP is more than a training program; it is a transformative journey designed to empower the next generation to thrive, lead, and create lasting change in their communities. By equipping youths with relevant skills, financial literacy, and digital expertise, the program addresses unemployment, fosters economic growth, and promotes self-reliance.

CHILDREN EMPOWERMENT

Children Empowerment Initiative

The Children Empowerment Initiative is designed to nurture the potential of children by equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resources necessary to thrive in today’s world. This program targets underprivileged and at-risk children, aiming to bridge gaps in education, gender inequality, personal development, and access to opportunities. Our approach emphasizes capacity building through interactive workshops, mentorship programs, and creative learning activities that enhance critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills. By fostering a supportive environment, we empower children to unlock their innate talents, build resilience, and envision a brighter future.

Key activities include:

Educational Enrichment: Supplementing academic learning with STEM, digital literacy, and arts programs.

Life Skills Training: Providing workshops on leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

Mentorship Opportunities: Pairing children with role models who guide and inspire them toward success.

Health and Wellness Support: Promoting mental and physical well-being through counselling and recreational activities.
